Media Lario congratulates Blue Skies Space Ltd. for achieving first light with Mauve, marking the first time that a commercial space telescope has been used by scientists to observe the universe.
Blue Skies Space has recently announced that it had pointed Mauve at its first calibration target, a bright star in the constellation Ursa Major approximately 104 light-years from Earth. Mauve is equipped with a high-performance telescope payload produced by Media Lario using its proprietary Repli-formed Optics™ process which allows precision mirrors to be made in a matter of hours and at high volume with identical performance. It was chosen as Mauve is intended to be the first of many such telescopes in support of their mission to expand access to space observation.
